The blueprint of YMCA&YWCA of Shanghai for the next five years

    上海基督教青年会、女青年会走过了百多年的历程，在这百多年的历史中最鲜明的特质是用基督的爱服务社会，用坚实的使命、责任、推动团体的不断发展。

    上海基督教青年会、女青年会要坚持把“基督精神”彰显在社会服务中，坚持“公义、爱心、和平、平等”原则，倡导人的价值取向是为他人、为社会奉献，面对“昨天的青年、今天的青年、明天的青年”，倡导志愿奉献精神和社会责任，并在广泛的海外交流中增强每一个人对历史责任的认识，造就面向世界有竞争力和视野的人，参与推动世界和平。

    我们坚持倡导，坚持合作，坚持发展，把我们的理念延伸于我们的服务中，坚持用爱心营造一个共同生活的空间，用爱心创造一个“和谐”可持续发展的多元环境，实现“服务社会、造福人群”的宗旨。

    在未来，我们要直面全球化、信息化、网络化、多元化的社会格局，进一步确认团体的使命，承担团体对社会的责任，实现团体的宗旨。在国家“十二五”计划实施的五年中，我们将抓住机遇，以人为本，按照包容性发展的方针，宣扬低碳生活，注重民生，改善民生。我们要固本强身，主动参与社会发展，以自觉参与社会发展建设为目标，走“专业化发展、参与式发展、综合性发展、机构能力发展”的道路。

    在未来，我们要将特色服务实践在每一项服务中，要继续以社区为基础，在实践中创造新的服务，在“荣神益人”的见证中作盐作光。

    在未来，我们要把团体建设成为一个勤奋、创新、责任、和谐的团体；一个具有坚定的信仰、具有爱心、具有专业特点、具有使命感和责任感的团体；一个“与社会同步，与时代同行”的团体。

YMCA and YWCA of Shanghai have gone through a hundred years of historical journey. In the course of history, we have the most distinctive trait that we have been serving the community with the love of Christ, and promoting the continuous development with the solid mission and responsibility.

YMCA and YWCA of Shanghai shall adhere to the "Spirit of Christ" and make it highlighted in social services. We shall adhere to the principle of "righteousness, love, peace, equality", proposing that our value be directed to selflessness and dedication to the community. We open up to the "youth of yesterday, today and tomorrow", advocating voluntary movement to hold social responsibility. And we enhance everyone’s awareness of the historical responsibility through a wide range of foreign exchange. We shall foster young people with global competitiveness and horizon, who are involved in keeping the world peace.

We stress advocacy, cooperation, and development. We extend our philosophy into our services. We insist that we create with love a space to live together, a “harmonious”, sustainable, diverse environment, in order to actualize the purpose of "serve the society, benefit the people”. 

In the future, facing a society pattern of globalization, information technology, networking, social diversity, we must more deeply specify our mission, and bear our responsibility for the community, that we can fulfill our purpose. In the implementation of the national five-year plan, we will seize the opportunity. In accordance with the human-based, inclusive development, we will promote low-carbon life, pay attention to people's livelihood, and improve quality of life. We must strengthen our foundation and build a healthy body. We must be active to participate in social development. In order to consciously participate in the construction of social development as the goal, we will focus on "professional development, participatory development, comprehensive development, and institutional capacity development".

In the future, our services will feature some special characteristics. We will continue to create new services based on community. We will be salt and light to witness the "glorifying God and benefitting people".

In the future, we will build ourselves into a hard-working, innovative, responsible and harmonious organization; one with strong faith, love, professional features, a sense of mission and responsibility; and one of "partnering with the society, with the time".
